Family and Consumer Sciences
The family unit is viewed as the cornerstone of a healthy community. One of the primary focuses of the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) programs is on improving the wellness for individuals and their families. There are many aspects of overall wellness including nutrition, health, financial management, and family dynamics throughout the life span. FCS Extension educators are a vital resource to the community to implement effective and dynamic educational programs that provide people with the life skills needed to make positive changes, and improve the overall sense of well-being.
