Agriculture and Natural Resources
Cathryn Kloetzli is the Horticulture and Natural Resources Extension Agent for Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene and Louisa counties. She specializes in commercial horticulture – offering production, business management and marketing support. Her background is in greenhouse and high tunnel production and general Integrated Pest Management techniques. Cathy strives to pool together the tremendous resources, people, enthusiasm and drive found in our counties to strengthen and expand upon the great work in commercial horticulture that is already being done.
Carrie Swanson is the Animal Science Agent for Albemarle County and your first point of contact for general questions and information relating to livestock, pastures and horses. She also serves the neighboring counties of Nelson, Louisa, Fluvanna and Greene. Carrie’s specialty is in horse management and nutrition, but she has a broad background in production livestock species as well.
