As the 4-H Agent overseeing the local program I am responsible for the administration of 4-H Curriculum and Programming for in-school, out-of-school, and other non-formal educational settings in Albemarle County and the city of Charlottesville, Virginia. My background is in environmental education but I provide support to current programs in all ten of the 4-H Curricular areas including Animal Science; Careers and Economic Education; Citizenship; Communications and Expressive Arts; Family Sciences; Foods, Nutrition and Health; Leadership and Personal Development; Natural Resources and Environmental Education; Plants, Soils, and Entomology; and Science, Engineering and Technology.

Some of my favorite programs offered every year include the Natural Resources Weekend at Holiday Lake 4-H Center, the Public Speaking Program and Contests held each spring, the Beginning of Life Embryology Program, Teen and Adult Leader Trainings, Outdoor Adventure Leader Trainings, Junior 4-H Camp (for youth ages 9-18), 4-H Congress (for youth ages 14-18), The Albemarle County Fair Livestock Show and Sale, C.A.M.P! Local Agriculture and Natural Resources Camp at Camp Albemarle (for rising 5th through 8th graders), and 4-H Achievement Night.  We also offer many other programs throughout the year so please check out our local 4-H Programs page to see what events are coming up!
