4-H Livestock Club is Back in the Barn this Fall!

The 4-H Livestock club is expanding! What began as a group of local youth interested in showing their beef heifers has now grown to include kids with goats, sheep, horses, and rabbits.

This program is open to any youth 9-19 years of age with an interest in small or large animals. Although several of the members possess their animals, projects and activities are available for youth who do not have the space or access.

The 4-H Livestock Club Business Meetings are the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 to 7: 00 PM. In addition to one regular business meeting each month, the group will have hands-on, project meetings and field trips. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.

Youth and parents who want to learn more about the 4-H Livestock Club should contact Jennifer Unroe at 862-0239 or by email, junroe@vt.edu.
