Cooking for Crowds

Cooking for Crowds is a 2 hour workshop designed to teach non-profit organizations safe food handling and preparation techniques to prevent food-borne illness. This workshop is presented in conjunction with the local Health Department. Call 804-561-2481 for details.  Fee

Food Preservation 101

Participants will learn basic food preservation techniques in this 2-hour workshop. Call for schedule.  Fee. 

Dining with Diabetes

A program designed for people with diabetes and their family members. A class series that includes learning how to manage diabetes, food demonstrations, and tasting of healthy foods. Classes are taught by Extension educators and other partners. Call for class schedule. Fee.

Teen Mother's Workshop

A program designed for teen parents and family members.  A class series that includes nutrition and meal planning, parenting, budgeting, and preparing for a career. Classes are taught by Extension educators and SNAP-ed professionals (formerly SCNEP).

Savings and Spending Plans

Families are experiencing more difficulty managing daily expenses with rising costs of fuel and food. Take time now to prepare for your family's financial future by putting in place a spending plan or budget. Learn about resources available to you, what you can do now to save your home, and reduce unnecessary expenses. Individual  and group sessions are available upon request.

The Personal Financial Management Course - Steps to Financial Success
