Work Experience
Jan began her career with Virginia Cooperative Extension in Clarke County as the Home Economics/4-H Youth Development agent in 1993. With the restructuring of Extension, her job responsibilities became focused on 4-H Youth Development in 1995. In 1997, Jan transferred to Nelson County and continued working with the 4-H program while completing her Masters degree.
In January of 2002, Jan transferred to her current position of Extension Agent, Family and Consumer Sciences in Amherst County. Her specialty area is Family and Human Development and major programming for PD 11 includes parenting skills classes and child care provider education.
