Middlebrook Livestock 4-H Club News
The Middlebrook Livestock 4-H Club held their monthly meeting on January 20th at the Middlebrook Community Center (Firehouse).
After a brief business session, the educational program was presented by Dwight Strickler, Animal Control Officer for Augusta County. Mr. Strickler’s presentation was on understanding animal cruelty issues. Mr. Strickler emphasized that just because an animal’s ribs are showing, doesn’t necessarily mean that the animal has been abused. Criteria such as body condition scoring, is a tool used in determining abuse cases.
The next meeting will be held on February 24th at 7p.m at the Community Center and new members are always welcome.
