North River 4-H Club Members Celebrate National 4-H Week at North River Elementary School

The North River 4-H Club met at the North River Elementary School on October 11th and November 8th.
At the October meeting we elected new officers for the club, completed membership forms and discussed future business of the club.
At the November meeting, we made lamb halters. We also decided to have a Market Animal show training day.
At our next meeting on December 13th, club members will make fruit baskets for our activity.

The North River 4-H Club held their monthly meeting on December 13th at the North River Elementary School.

New items discussed were the plans to complete Market Animal Show record books for the upcoming year. In March, the club intends to have a Market Animal show training date to educate members on how to prepare animals for the show.

Members have also decided to maintain the 4-H Display Case at the Government Center for the months of February and March.

The educational program consisted of a community service project of making fruit baskets for some people in our community. Members brought in fruit and we formed an assembly line to construct the baskets. Making fruit baskets proved to be a fun and a worthwhile project. We also delivered the baskets to people in the community.

The next meeting is slated for January 10th, 2011 at the North River Elementary School. New members are always welcome.
