Strategic Plan for Region 2000
PD 11 (Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, Campbell and Lynchburg) Agriculture & Natural Resources Extension Agents, along with Economic Development Directors and Region 2000 Local Government Council worked on a Strategic Plan for Region 2000 (same coverage area). The intent of the Strategic Plan for the Agriculture and Forestry Economy in Virginia's Region 2000 is to provide the Region 2000 community with a framework for action to promote regional growth in the agriculture and forestry industries. Formed as a collaborative entity linking economic development organizations and Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) offices across localities in Virginia's Region 2000, the Strategic Plan Coordinating Team is charged with driving immediate actions outlined in the plan, tracking metrics to monitor progress, and determining continued actions working with local and regional partners. Food Handler Food Safety Training
The ServSafe Food Handlers Course is offered by the National Restaurant Association for those interested in learning basic food safety. We will be offering six separate sessions during 2015
