Join Virginia Cooperative Extension as it celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Smith-Lever Act, which officially established the National Cooperative Extension System. Activities are being planned throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia to commemorate the centennial in 2014. Events will be held in local communities, recognition of our Extension volunteers, and even a Virginia Cooperative Extension Day on May 8! What: 4-H JUNIOR CAMP 2014
When: July 27-31, 2014
Where: NOVA 4-H Center, Front Royal, VA, on 229 acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains
For: Youth from Caroline, Spotsylvania and King George, ages 9-13 (as of 9/30/14); older youth may attend as Teen Counselors or Counselors In Training (CIT). Counselor and CIT training is provided.
Cost: $300/camper, includes lodging, meals, classes, insurance, snacks and transportation via chartered buses.
Registration Deadline: June 2, 2014 (Deposit due at time of registration) (available slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and a limited number of camp scholarships are available)
