Living Apart Parenting Together
Co-parenting education for parents who are divorcing or never married
Living Apart-Parenting Together is a four-hour class designed to educate parents about the effects of divorce and separation on both children and parents. It provides strategies that help parents living apart work out parenting decisions without putting their children in the middle. This class meets the parent education guidelines established by the Supreme Court of Virginia.
Classes are offered in various locations in Caroline, King George, and Westmoreland counties. The cost to cover class materials is $30. ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, walk-ins are not accepted. If you have not received a letter of acknowledgement before the class date, you are not enrolled in the class. The registration form is available for downloading below. Completed registration forms are mailed to: LAPT/Virginia Cooperative Extension 10087 Kings Highway, King George, Virginia 22485. All fees must accompany the registration form. We do not accept credit cards. A certificate is awarded upon completion of class. Note: Child care is not provided.
