My name is David Smith and I was hired on July 2004 as the Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent for Cumberland County.  My specialty is in Crop and Soils.  I graduated from Virginia Tech in 1979 with a degree in Agronomy with a Soil Science Major.  I am married with 4 children.  I enjoy working with the residents of the county and sharing in the goal of maintaining a viable and healthy rural economy here in Cumberland.
