Education

Chris holds a BS from Virginia State University, one of our fine land grant schools.  He also has an AS from Richard Bland and 4-H Shooting Sport Instructor Certificates for both Archery and Basic Shotgun.

Work Experience

Chris has been involved with 4-H, especially 4-H camping, since he was 11.  That made it very appropriate for him to serve as a summer camp instructor for three years at the Airfield 4-H Center in Wakefield.  Later, Chris was a residential Care Manager for Hope Tree Family Services.  This position allowed him to become familiar with working with state and county regulations, and developing long term care plans for disabled adults.  After the completion of his degree, Chris went back to Airfield to work as their Program Coordinator.  This position gave him the opportunity to work with public and private schools, local colleges/universities, and private groups such as greek life and scouts.  Here he organized field trips, training activities, challenge course events, shooting sports events, and helped plan specialty weekend camps for the 4-H department.

Personal Information

Chris grew up in Prince George County and in 26 years has made it as far as Colonial Heights where he currently lives.  He has a wonderful wife and a beautiful daughter.  He has a love for hockey, football, Nascar, and Dan Brown or Timothy Zahn novels.
