Marilyn has been employed with Virginia Cooperative Extension since 1978 as a 4-H agent until 2003 and currently works as the Family and Consumer Science agent for the Middle Peninsula.  Marilyn has worked in Middlesex, Westmoreland and Gloucester counties.  Programs in nutrition and wellness, food safety, money management and family development highlight the subjects that are presented to the county residents.  Marilyn is a member of VEAFCS/NEAFCS.  She is a graduate of Hampton University with a B.S. degree in Human Ecology.  Marilyn and her family reside in Gloucester county.
