As the 4-H Agent for Fauquier County, Doug works to create programs, workshops and camps for the youth in the community. He determines the needs and interests of the Fauquier youth, and develops a 4-H program or workshop around these areas.

Doug works in the public schools to provide in-school curriculum to various grade levels including embryology and electricity activities, and he partners with the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational and Conference Center to offer programming to Fauquier County public schools.  Doug's expertise in natural resources provide him with the opportunity to offer a variety of educational programs to 4-H youth, public schools, Master Gardeners and Master Naturalists, and other youth programs in the community.

Doug received a BS in Wildlife Ecology from Texas A&M University and earned an MS in Fisheries and Wildlife Science from Virginia Tech.

He has been with Extension since 1999 and is a member of VAE4-H and NAE4-H.
