Family and Consumer Sciences
As a Family Consumer Science agent, Karen Ridings, M.S.,R.D., works to improve the quality of life for individuals in any phase of life, families, and communities, through the delivery of research-based educational programs. Program topics include,but are not limited to, health, nutrition, wellness, canning, food safety, parenting, home safety, financial management, and child care worker training. In cooperation with other area extension specialists and area Master Gardener Volunteers, Karen also works with groups in organizing community gardens.
