Fit Ex

Logo, Fit Ex

Virginia Cooperative Extension has a new 8-week walking program, Fit Ex, to help encourage co-workers, friends, family members, schoolmates, and neighbors to come together as a team from March 15-May 9, 2015. Team Captains will recruit 5 other people to make a 6-member team who will attempt to collectively walk 480 miles, the distance across Virginia.  This distance equates to about 30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity at least five days a week for each team member. The program also provides 9 newsletters filled with recipes, motivational quotes, and suggestions on keeping your group moving and eating healthfully!

Registration opens March 1st! Only $2 per person and the first 10 teams to register will receive FREE pedometers!

For more information visit www.fit-ex.org!

If you decide to create a team and participate, email or call Glenn Sturm at 804-693-2602 or gjsturm@vt.edu and we’ll get you signed up!
