4-H Jr. Camp - August 3-7, 2009 (PPT | 15MB)
4-H Clubs (open to youth aged 9-18)
In Gloucester we have 4-H horse clubs, a 4-H canine club, a community and animal science club, a shooting sports club, a 4-H club for home schoolers, and a group for 4-H cloverbuds (ages 5-8). Typically 4-H clubs meet once a month. They provide lots of fun learning experiences while building leadership and citizenship skills thru club and community service projects. Call 693-2602 for information about joining a club, volunteering, and starting new clubs.
Gloucester County Shooting Sports. Open to youth aged 9-18. Contact Jennifer Leser at 854-3231. Youth may participate in both archery and rifle. Emphasis on safety and skill. Practice target shooting and compete in 4-H District and State Events.
Gloucester County Cloverbuds. Open to youth aged 5-8. Explore the treasures of 4-H thru crafts, nature, and community service projects. Club meets at the Extension Office on the second Monday of every month September - June, 6:00-7:00 PM.
Hooves, Paws and Claws 4-H Club. Open to youth aged 9-18. Participate in volunteer work, learn leadership skills. Work on a 4-H project. Animals of all types--there is a project for everyone. Club meets at the Extension Office on the second Monday of every month September-June, 6:00-7:00 PM.
A 5th H 4-H Homeschool Club. Open to youth aged 5-18. The club usually meets on alternate Friday's at Beaverdam Park. Learn leadership, citizenship, work on 4-H projects and participate in fun educational field trips. Call Elizabeth Guinn @ 695-2578 for more information.
Midnight Riders 4-H Horse Club. Open to youth aged 9-18. For youth horse enthusiasts participating in any riding discipline. Call Debra Emerson at 694-4450 for more information.
GLOCO 4-H Horse Club. Open to youth aged 9-18. For youth interested in riding and learning more about the animal. Horse judging as well as riding. For information, contact Janine Wilson at 757-771-8848.
