Pattie Bland

Pattie Bland is the environmental horticulture technician and Master Gardener Coordinator, positions she has held since 2006 when she joined the staff of the Hanover County Extension Office.

She earned a B.A. in English from King College in Bristol, Tennessee and an M.A. in English from Virginia Tech.

A Master Gardener since 2006, she subsequently has trained as an Advanced Master Gardener-Land Care Steward (2008) and Water Steward (2010).  In 2011 she passed the exam for Virginia Certified Horticulturalist.

Pattie vigorously supports and advocates for wise land-use planning and sustainable environmental practices.
