Henrico Junior 4-H Camp

The Henrico County Junior 4-H Camp will be held July 9 - 13, 2012 at Jamestown 4-H Educational Center. Activities at camp include swimming, archery, canoeing, basketball, forestry, wildlife, volleyball, shooting sports, fishing, campfires, crafts, and much more! Summer camp is more than a vacation for children. The main objective at 4-H camp is for the children to learn while having FUN!

Jamestown 4-H Education Center is accredited by the American Camp Association. Camp is supervised by adult and teen counselors. Camp also has a permanent staff that includes lifeguards, recreation leaders, waterfront directors, dietician, and medical attendant (nurse or EMT). Camp is available to all boys and girls ages 9 through 13 years old (as of September 30, 2012). If you are a teen, turning 14 years old or older by January 1, 2012, you would need to apply to be a teen counselor. Adults interested in being adult volunteers should contact our office.

Summer camp is a great place for children to have fun, make new friends, and discover the wonders of the outdoors. Space is limited. If you are interested, please call the Henrico County Extension Office (501-5160) for more information. Come join the fun!
