Through educational programs based on research and developed with input from local stakeholders, we help the people of King George County improve their lives.

We provide education through programs in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, and Community Viability.

Spring Judging School!

You are invited to the Virginia Fairs Spring Judging School, Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Caroline County Agricultural Fair Grounds, L.J. Moyer Home Goods Building, 8332 County Fair Lane, Ruther Glen, VA  22546. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m.; the program concludes at 2:00 p.m. Light morning refreshments and lunch are included in the $20.00 registration fee. Spearheaded by Macine Williams, Caroline County Agricultural Fair Home Goods Chair and Pegi Wright, Caroline/King George Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent, the purpose of the judging school is to train and certify judges for Fairs (including the State Fair of Virginia) throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical knowledge of fair judging and a greater understanding of county fairs and the educational opportunities they present. More details here
