The Louisa County office of Virginia Cooperative Extension is your local connection to Virginia's land-grant universities, Virginia Tech and Virginia State University.

Through educational programs based on research and developed with input from local stakeholders, we help the people of Louisa County improve their lives.

We provide education through programs in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, and Community Viability.

Louisa 4-H Camp June 3-7 – REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!!

Louisa 4-H Camp will be June 3-7, 2013 and gives a week of fun, fellowship and learning for campers age 9-13 (must turn 9 before September 30, 2013). The 4-H camping program provides a fun opportunity for boys and girls to learn skills through hands-on experiences while helping them build self-esteem and challenging them to be innovative and creative. Campers have the opportunity to participate in exciting classes, swim and recreation time, special evening events and more. Classes include: Archery, Riflery, Fishing, Soccer, Swimming, Canoeing, Basketball, Dance, Nature, Outdoor Living Skills, Photography and much more….

Camp is more than just FUN! It is also: Accredited through the American Camping Association, staffed with highly qualified staff and teen and adult volunteers, and focused on the 4-H “Learn by Doing” motto and experiential learning model.

Camp slots fill on a first come first served basis! The camp cost is $190.00, which includes meals, lodging, transportation and a t-shirt. There is a discount for more than one child attending.
