Work Experience

Donna began her career with Virginia Cooperative Extension in January 2007 with Lunenburg County as an Extension Agent, Family and Consumer Sciences. Donna has knowledge and experience in parenting, communications & problem solving, career interest, developing values, knowledge, skills & abilities in selected interest, substance abuse, food & nutrition, budgeting, mental health issues, anger management, stress management, coping with grief, developing volunteer programs and fund raising for programs. One of her primary goals is to provide educational programs to the community as needed and identified. She plans to effectively develop and deliver program objectives that are researched based to meet the needs of the community. Donna specialty area is Family and Human Development and program area includes parenting skills, child care provider education classes, financial, and nutrition.

Donna is Unit Coordinator for Lunenburg County.

Professional Experience

Donna has developed, created and implemented a variety of programs such as Orientation, Volunteer Program, Substance Abuse, Parenting, Mothers inside Loving Kids, and the Therapeutic Community. I have also attended several training classes to enhance my knowledge and experience in setting-up Programs. Some of these classes are as follows: Corrections Response to Inmate Substance Abuse, Substance Abuse Certification Didactic Class, Annual DOC Substance Abuse Conference, Several Therapeutic Community Training, Parenting, Breaking Barriers, Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional and On-Trak Drug Testing Training.
