Family and Consumer Sciences
Family and Consumer Sciences programs in Mecklenburg County provide education to help people increase knowledge and make informed decisions about healthy lifestyles, money management, food safety and a variety of other issues. This education is offered in a variety of ways. Topics are often covered in a workshop format. These workshops range in time from 1-6 hours. These workshops can be informational or interactive. Topics are also covered through newsletters, news articles, publications and one-on-one consultations.
