The Family Nutrition Program is a joint effort of Virginia Tech and Virginia Department of Social Services. This program provides nutrition education opportunities for Food Stamp eligible individuals or families.
Program objectives are to teach a series of lessons in basic nutrition and food related skills, encourage healthy eating habits and promote physical activity, menu planning, and how to stretch food dollars and resources.
As a result of participation in this program, participants across the State have acquired new skills and knowledge that enables them to lead healthier, more prosperous lives.
