Day-to-day activities

My current responsibilities are to teach individuals and groups skills that will improve the quality of their lives. My area of expertise is family resource management. In my 29th year as an extension agent I can say I’ve had a variety of jobs throughout the years that have benefited the citizens in the units I’ve worked. For 13 years I supervised EFNEP paraprofessionals and taught foods and nutrition programs exclusively. From EFNEP to Family Systems to Family Resource Management pretty much covers all aspects of my programs. I’ve taught leadership and process skills development and enjoy these very much. I participate on local, district, university and national boards and coalitions. It’s nice to have my talents and insight recognized.

 When I’m not “working”

I’m a mother of two teenagers, wife of a bakery manager, my 92 yr. old aunt’s niece; an avid NACAR fan; love, love to travel everywhere and experience different cultures. My newest hobby is entering sweepstakes and contests.  Ask me about my award-winning salsa recipe. jh
