Through educational programs based on research and developed with input from local stakeholders, we help the people of Powhatan County improve their lives.
We provide education through programs in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, and Community Viability.

Dog Contest
Calling all dog owners! Does your pet have a special talent, unique costume, great bark or is it just really CUTE? Well then, enter your dog in the Powhatan County Fair's Dog Contest to be held on May 18, 2013 at 12 noon.
Categories include: Tallest, Shortest, Longest Tail, Shortest Tail, Most Colors, Largest Paw, Smallest Paw, Best Bark, Best Trick, Best Costume, Ugliest ~ Cutest, Most Looks Like Owner.

Join us for this two-week summer science program for rising 5th and 6th graders.
When? July 22nd-August 2, 2013 from 8-11 am weekdays.
Where? The Renaissance Academy, 2900 Pleasantwood Road, Powhatan
Cost? $45.00 per student
