Join Virginia Cooperative Extension as it celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Smith-Lever Act, which officially established the National Cooperative Extension System. Activities are being planned throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia to commemorate the centennial in 2014. Events will be held in local communities, recognition of our Extension volunteers, and even a Virginia Cooperative Extension Day on May 8! Prince George Master Gardener Education Series at the Prince George Farmers Market

The Prince George Master Gardeners will be on hand the following Saturdays at the Prince George Farmers market to answer your horticulture questions. Each day they will have a demonstration of timely topics related to lawns, vegetables, or ornamental gardening. Stop by and visit as you shop the local vendors and pick up a few tips to make your own gardens more enjoyable. The Farmers Market runs from 8 AM – 12 noon each Saturday.
