Through educational programs based on research and developed with input from local stakeholders, we help the people of Prince George County improve their lives.

We provide education through programs in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, and Community Viability.

Virginia Cooperative Extension Celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Smith-Lever Act

Join Virginia Cooperative Extension as it celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Smith-Lever Act, which officially established the National Cooperative Extension System. Activities are being planned throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia to commemorate the centennial in 2014. Events will be held in local communities, recognition of our Extension volunteers, and even a Virginia Cooperative Extension Day on May 8! Check this site frequently for periodic centennial updates and articles about Virginia Cooperative Extension programs and events.

2014 Camper Application


Campers! It's time again for Summer camp at the Airfield 4-H Center in Wakefield! Camping this year is going to be June 30-July 4, 2014. You will find the application below. Please make sure that the application is completely filled out and be sure to register early as space is limited. You can either mail in the application or bring it by our office. If you have any questions about the application please feel free to call the office. Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you at camp this year! :)

2014 Counselor, CIT, Applications

Teens! Summer camp will take place June 30-July 4, 2014 at Airfield 4-H Center. Initial meeting, Counselor, CIT partnering and room selection will take place at Prince George High School, April 22, 2014 from 2:45 to 4:30. You will find the application and training modules below, the modules will help you study for the required test that is included in your packet. Please bring your test with you the day of training. Applications need to be turned in no later than April 22, 2014 to the Prince George County Extension Office. The 3 reference letters in your application need to be mailed or brought in by 3 different individuals to our office as well. If you have questions please feel free to contact us. :)
