The Richmond County office of Virginia Cooperative Extension is your local connection to Virginia's land-grant universities, Virginia Tech and Virginia State University.

Through educational programs based on research and developed with input from local stakeholders, we help the people of Richmond County improve their lives.

We provide education through programs in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, and Community Viability.

2015 4-H Teen Leadership Opportunity

The Westmoreland/Richmond County 4-H program is now recruiting teens who are interested in serving in a leadership role at 2015 4-H camp. Youth interested in serving as Teen Leaders must be at least 14 years old by 1/1/15 to be eligible to apply and also must be available to serve for the Westmoreland and Richmond County’s camping week – July 27-31, 2015. Deadline for application and references is February 13, 2015.
