1998: BS in Geography from James Madison University; 2001: MA in Biogeography from University of Wyoming

Work Experience

4-H Teen Leader all through high school; taught horsemanship at W.E. Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center at Smith Mountain Lake summers of 1995 & 1996. Worked for National Park Service and US Forest Service in later college and graduate school; also taught labs during grad school. Taught 7th Grade for Roanoke City Schools 2002-2005. Began working for VCE September 2007.

Personal Information

Born and raised in the Roanoke Valley, I now live in the Williamson Road area of Roanoke City with my two cats and two dogs.  I love hiking/the outdoors, reading and crafts (like crochet and cross-stitch).
