Graduted from Turner Ashby High School in Dayton, Va; Graduated South Florida Community College in Avon Park, Florida with a Vocational Certificate in Child Care Supervision.

Work Experience:

August 1995 - May 2006:  Director, Little Treasures Child Care Center in Dayton, Virginia

May 2006 - Present:  Program Assistant, SNAP-Ed ( Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education)

SNAP-Ed is a program with the goal of teaching members of food stamp households and other limited-income individuals the skills and knowledge needed to select and acquire a healthy, secure and safe food supply, leading to better use of resources, improved health, and disease prevention.

Awards:

May 1990 - Named Outstanding Student for the Child Care Supervision Program at South Florida Community College

November2007 - Interdisciplinary Award for Northwest District of Virginia Cooperative Extension

Personal:

Kim and her husband have 3 children and are Foster/Adoptive Parents with Harrisonburg/Rockingham Department of Social Services.  Kim also has two married step-children and 4 grandchildren.
