The Southampton County office of Virginia Cooperative Extension is your local connection to Virginia's land-grant universities, Virginia Tech and Virginia State University.

Through educational programs based on research and developed with input from local stakeholders, we help the people of Southampton County improve their lives.

We provide education through programs in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, and Community Viability.

Language Interpretation Services Now Available

If you have limited English skills, do not let that stop you from visiting an Extension office. If you have difficulty speaking or understanding English, our staff can serve you by connecting you to one of our Extension agents through a telephone-based interpreter. Interpretation for more than 200 languages is provided. This service is free to our clients. Read more

2016 4-H & F.O.P. Fishing Extravaganza

When: June 4, 2016

Where: Southampton Prison Farm, Route 308

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Who: Youth Ages 5-13 (Must be accompanied by an adult)

Registration and cost: Pre-registration is required along with a fee of $7 for participants and $5 for each adult or non-fishing participant.
