The York County/City of Poquoson office of Virginia Cooperative Extension is your local connection to Virginia's land-grant universities, Virginia Tech and Virginia State University.

Through educational programs based on research and developed with input from local stakeholders, we help the people of York County/City of Poquoson improve their lives.

We provide education through programs in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, and Community Viability.

FREE Pruning Clinics

February is the best time to prune ornamentals. By pruning, you improve the plant's health, thus reducing the need for pesticides and improving water quality. Horticultural Extravaganza

The 2015 Horticultural Extravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, from 8:30am to 3pm at Tabb High School. This day-long event presents a choice of over fifteen horticultural topics, for both the novice and advanced gardener. The registration fee is $16, which includes lunch.
